Our history

2009  Gilbarco Veeder-Root acquired Postec, of Auckland, New Zealand, a leading provider of automation and wet stock control systems. postec_logo
2008 Microsoft recognised Gilbarco Veeder-Root with a Partner Excellence Award for the Passport® point of sale system.
Gilbarco Veeder-Root acquired Autotank Group of Tampere, Finland, the leading maker of Outdoor Payment Terminals used across Europe.

2007 Gilbarco Veeder-Root acquired Intermedia Kiosks of Owings Mills, MD and introduced the Express OrderingT self-service foodservice system for convenience stores.
Launched the new and improved SK700-II.

2005 Announced new Diagnostics Unit for vapour recovery systems.
Introduced the industry's first integrated contactless smart card reader for gas pumps, approved for MasterCard PayPass, ExpressPay from American Express, and Visa.

DOMS, a leading provider of European forecourt controllers based in Denmark, joined the Gilbarco Veeder-Root family through acquisition.

1986 Pay-at-the pump technologies pioneered, featuring built-in credit/debit card reader system called CRIND®.

1945 G & B begins sales and service in the UK from several locations near London.
1935 Gilbert & Barker introduce the first computing pump.
1930 G & B announced first electric meter pump.
Veeder-Root incorporates its counters into gasoline pumps.

1910 Gilbert & Barker designed and manufactured its first petroleum pump the T-1, used push-pull motion to draw gasoline from an underground tank for fuelling automobiles.
